Description:

Along with Shrapnel and Kickback, Bombshell is an Insecticon. He enjoys developing and experimenting with new technologies to enhance or upgrade the other Decepticons’ mental and physical abilities, although he seldom adopts any upgrades or enhancements for his own use, as he derives more satisfaction from helping out his fellow Decepticons whenever they ask for his expertise and assistance. Bombshell is very good at what he does. He is highly intelligent, is meticulous and takes pride in his work, ensuring that even the smallest detail has been taken care of. He often works with the Constructicons on various scientific projects.

Back Story:

Bombshell and the Insecticons joined the Decepticons primarily to get away from the tyranny of Autobot rule in Iacon, where they were assigned the task of recycling the Autobots’ decommissioned war ships at the dock yards. The Insecticons’ individual abilities, but particularly their shared ability to process organic materials into a source of refined fuel or other useful material, meant that they were valuable to the Autobots, who regarded them as their property and forced them to do work. However, Bombshell left Iacon soon after with his fellow Insecticons to join the new faction of former Destrons. The Insecticons’ first contribution as Decepticons occurred when, along with Shockwave, the three of them helped seal all underground escape passages in Kolkular by converting raw material into reinforced blocks. This effectively limited Liege Maximo’s ability to retake the fortress in future.

Description:

Along with Shrapnel and Bombshell, Kickback is an Insecticon. Whenever Kickback is around, it usually spells bad news – for the Autobots, that is. He is especially adept at using his natural charm and intelligence to convince any bot to tell him all their secrets; once they’ve realized they’ve been duped, however, it’s already too late – Kickback is already long gone, along with the enemy’s plans. Of course, he respects his fellow Decepticons and would never dream of tricking them; anyone else, though, is fair game.

Description:

Shrapnel is the leader of the Insecticons, which consists of Kickback, Bombshell and himself. He is a strong leader with an independent nature. When he is not with the other Decepticons on the front line, he prefers to work quietly in the background, accomplishing his task without ado and without the attention of the Autobots. His greatest satisfaction, however, is realized when he can utilize his unmatched mastery over electricity in full sight of the enemy against them, using his twin antennae to attract, control and even generate high voltage current.

The Insecticons’ individual abilities, but particularly their shared ability to process organic materials into a source of refined fuel or other useful material, meant that they were valuable to the Autobots, who regarded them as their property and forced them to do work. However, when the opportunity to leave Iacon and join the new faction of former Destrons came presented itself, Shrapnel took his chances. The Insecticons’ first contribution as Decepticons occurred when, along with Shockwave, the three of them helped seal all underground escape passages in Kolkular by converting raw material into reinforced blocks. This effectively limited Liege Maximo’s ability to retake the fortress in future. Shrapnel has an unusual speech pattern where he will repeat the last word in his speech.  This is a result of a failed attempt by the Autobots to forcibly reprogram him after he proved to be too rebellious for their liking. He allowed the Autobots to believe that they had succeeded in reprogramming him, although this was not the case.
