Description:

Scavenger is a Constructicon, and also a combiner, so he has the ability to merge with his fellow Constructicons to form Devastator (right arm). He often works with Mixmaster and Que on construction projects, and particularly excels when the mining or salvage of various materials is required. Scavenger is happiest in a supporting role, often praising and encouraging his team mates when they need it most. However, because of this he is often misjudged as having a need to seek the approval of others, or of having a low sense of self worth, by those who do not know him better. There also exists a much more reserved, artistic side to his nature that seems to contradict his usually gregarious personality.

Back Story:

Scavenger and the Constructicons first joined the Decepticons when Megatron gathered together Destrons who had been ousted from Iacon by the Autobots, in rebellion against the way they were being treated. His shovel’s unique ability to detect even trace amounts of any known element in the universe has enabled him to help his fellow Decepticons track down and disable enemy targets on several occasions.

Description:

Que, also known as Long Haul, is a Constructicon and, as a combiner like his fellow Constructicons, can merge with them to form Devastator (lower torso). Whilst Que’s function is that of transport, he much prefers to be on the front lines fighting alongside the Decepticon warriors, which he often does. Beneath his ambitious and adventurous exterior, Que is a rather complex character who is continually redefining himself in order to discover and express his inner truth. As a result of this journey of self-discovery he possesses much wisdom and foresight, although he is often misunderstood by those who do not know him well.

Back Story:

Que and the Constructicons first joined the Decepticons when Megatron gathered together Destrons who had been ousted from Iacon by the Autobots, in rebellion against the way they were being treated. Since then, Que has played an important role in the Decepticons’ continuing success, whether it was by helping his team mates with the construction of critical energy installations, or by helping to defeat enemies in direct combat.

Description:

Mixmaster is one of the Constructicons, and as a combiner he can merge with his fellow Constructicons to form Devastator (left leg). Mixmaster enjoys experimenting with materials fabrication, whereby scrap metal and other worthless bits and pieces are sub-atomically rearranged inside his drum through an accelerated process of low energy transmutation in order to create useful, raw materials. He has often been described as irrational and unstable by the Autobots, even declaring him to be a mad scientist; however, his friends know him much better than that, and understand that behind the veneer of his eccentric personality is an affable and high-spirited mech who cares deeply for his fellow Decepticons.

Back Story:

Mixmaster and the Constructicons first joined the Decepticons when Megatron gathered together Destrons who had been ousted from Iacon by the Autobots, in rebellion against the way they were being treated. Mixmaster has always been content simply to help his team complete the various projects that have contributed to the Decepticons’ success, including the restructure and upgrade of their base of operations in Kolkular, Kaon, and then later of their new headquarters in Darkmount, Polyhex.

Description:

Hook is a Constructicon, and also a combiner, which means he has the ability to merge with his fellow Constructicons to form Devastator (upper torso). Due to his unparalleled engineering skills and meticulous attention to detail, Hook is the go-to mech for anything that requires surgical precision or repair work. He often works closely with Scrapper, and is considered to be the informal second-in-charge of the Constructicons. He is the most outspoken among his team mates, and is well known for his rather acerbic sense of humour.

Hook and the Constructicons first joined the Decepticons when Megatron gathered together Destrons who had been ousted from Iacon by the Autobots, in rebellion against the way they were being treated. His contributions to the Decepticon cause since then have been invaluable, particularly on the battlefield or on missions, when his fellow Decepticons had need of urgent medical attention, or some timely piece of advice.

Description:

Scrapper is the leader of the Constructicons and, also a combiner, has the ability to merge with his fellow Constructicons to form Devastator (right leg). He is a brilliant scientist and engineer who enjoys designing and building all kinds of different things – from medical gadgets and new types of weaponry, to buildings and even entire cities. Of course, he does not accomplish all these things on his own; as team leader, he guides and directs his team mates to help with the construction of his many projects – one of them being the world-famous, majestic Crystal City. Despite his remarkable skill and natural talent as an all-round scientist and engineer, he rarely likes to draw attention to himself on this account, preferring instead to work quietly in the background whilst the others take the limelight. When he is not busy working on a new project, he can be found on the front lines fighting the enemy, or involved in demolitions.

Scrapper and the Constructicons first joined the Decepticons when Megatron gathered together Destrons who had been ousted from Iacon by the Autobots, in rebellion against the way they were being treated. Some of Scrapper’s remarkable achievements include the combiner technology that allows the merging of gestalt teams, the conversion and storage of common energy sources into multi-purpose energon cubes, and then later the zero-point energy accumulator, as well as the design and construction of the interstellar space ship the Star Drive, and many other things. The Autobots have always sought to copy and use his inventions for their own ends, but he refuses to share any of it with them because he knows that they will only take the credit and may even use his technology against the Decepticons, if they thought it was justified.

Description:

Shockwave is a very methodical and persistent strategic thinker who is determined to complete and perfect his various scientific inventions for the betterment of all Decepticons. He is highly knowledgeable in a variety of different areas and is considered to be as much the brilliant scientist by his companions as he is the brilliant strategist. Due to a well developed logical approach and his unending patience, Shockwave is well suited to difficult or complex tasks, though he is equally adept in situations that require him to think quickly or to devise creative solutions. Even though he enjoys time alone spent in reflection, he highly values the company of his fellow Decepticons whenever they’re around.

Back Story:

Shockwave was a main contributor to a number of important inventions and discoveries on Cybertron. He has always been an independent thinker and in the early days on Cybertron rarely took sides in domestic conflicts, preferring instead to focus his efforts on ensuring the safety and security of his home planet against any alien threat. However, as the friction between the Autobots and various Destron groups escalated he ultimately chose to align himself with Megatron – his long-time good friend and fellow scientist – and his newly formed splinter group, the Decepticons, and has remained with them ever since.

Description:

He is unwilling to compromise the values and tenets which underlie the Decepticon cause for any reason, while his compassion for the safety and well-being of those under his command is only matched by his fierceness in battle against the enemy.

Back Story:

Many vorns ago, Megatron and a small group of like-minded Cybertronians formed the Decepticons, a rebellious splinter group of the Destrons – Cybertron’s military class that eventually became extinct – in response to the ever-increasing violence and corruption prevalent among Cybertron’s then-ruling class, the Autobots, and a number of militant rogue factions within the Destron class system. His position as leader of the Decepticons was largely unplanned; as a former mathematician he never imagined that the escalating civil unrest on his home planet would ultimately shape his destiny and pave the way for him to become one of Cybertron’s greatest and most powerful leaders.

Description:

Skywarp’s unique ability of teleportation places him out of reach of his enemies; he likes to take full advantage of this, and especially enjoys playing pranks on them. He often saves the biggest surprise till last – when his enemies discover that he can teleport them to any location he chooses. He is generally a high spirited and good natured Decepticon who can get a little bored and distracted with routine missions, unless he is accompanied by a strong and supportive team. Nevertheless, his ability to follow orders without hesitation means that he gets the job done. Whenever Skywarp is around, fun times are usually close at hand.

Back Story:

Skywarp’s surprise tactical manoeuvres and creative solutions to problems has always made him evasive to the enemy which, in turn, has helped his trine mates, Starscream and Thundercracker, get through more difficult situations than they can keep count. He has always stood by his fellow Decepticons in support of the cause, during every conflict and throughout every war, and has been a highly valued member under Megatron’s leadership ever since the Decepticons were first formed.

Description:

Astrotrain is a triple changer, possessing the uncommon ability to almost instantaneously transform between three different modes: robot, train and space shuttle. He also possesses the ability to put his comrades at ease, which comes in handy particularly in high-stress situations, enabling everyone around him to maintain a level of calmness in order to successfully come up with solutions. He is a generous, free-spirited, and sociable Decepticon who enjoys offering his assistance to those genuinely in need and for this reason, along with his affable sense of humor, he is well-liked by many.

Back Story:

Astrotrain was one of the first of his kind to rebel against the oppression and dictatorial rule that began to emerge during the early days on Cybertron, when the Autobots began to assert their ideals and authority upon the rest of the world’s population. Throughout the conflicts between various rebel groups during that time, Astrotrain’s loyalty and services were continually sought by many rogue leaders for his space flight alt mode and superior transport capabilities; however, it wasn’t until he joined the Decepticons that he felt he could be a part of something greater – something that was well worth fighting for.

Description:

Blitzwing is a triple changer, and has the ability to rapidly transform between his three modes: robot, fighter jet, and tank. Blitzwing is a fast thinker and brilliant strategist in battle, with a knack for always keeping the enemy guessing. He prefers to employ the simplest and most direct approach in any situation. He is an efficient and effective warrior who is most useful on the front lines, but easily loses focus on missions that require patience or stealth. He will often be the first and the loudest to speak up against any wrongdoing or misjudgement perpetrated against Decepticons. Blitzwing’s usually reserved nature seems to be in direct contrast to his fanciful, impulsive sense of humour, which his fellow Decepticons find amusing – particularly Skywarp.

Back Story:

Up until he joined the Decepticon ranks, Blitzwing had always been a loner who did not pledge allegiance or offer his loyalty to any leader or faction. However, once he became aware of the continual threat to his home planet by a succession of Destron rulers and an increasingly corrupt Autobot High Command, all of whom demonstrated little regard for the safety of Cybertron or its inhabitants, he decided to join the Decepticon cause, and has since never looked back.
