Description:

Jazz’s easy-going, fun-loving nature is balanced by a more serious, daring side to his personality. Using his well-developed, highly attuned instincts, he has a way of accurately sizing up other bots and discovering their true motives and intentions, regardless of what they might be telling everyone else. Because of this uncanny ability, Jazz is able to get to the truth of a situation, no matter how unlikely it may seem. Once Jazz has made up his mind on something he will stubbornly stick to his guns… even when the entire Autobot army disagrees with him!

Back Story:

Jazz first encountered the Decepticons when Megatron and the Decepticons came to Iacon to assist the Autobots as the Nemesis drone army were advancing upon their command post, shortly after Sentinel Prime had been abducted by the drones. Jazz extended a helping hand and, ever since then, he has found himself questioning the war and continues to seek the true motives behind the endless conflicts that threaten to tear Cybertron apart.

Description:

Along with Shrapnel and Kickback, Bombshell is an Insecticon. He enjoys developing and experimenting with new technologies to enhance or upgrade the other Decepticons’ mental and physical abilities, although he seldom adopts any upgrades or enhancements for his own use, as he derives more satisfaction from helping out his fellow Decepticons whenever they ask for his expertise and assistance. Bombshell is very good at what he does. He is highly intelligent, is meticulous and takes pride in his work, ensuring that even the smallest detail has been taken care of. He often works with the Constructicons on various scientific projects.

Back Story:

Bombshell and the Insecticons joined the Decepticons primarily to get away from the tyranny of Autobot rule in Iacon, where they were assigned the task of recycling the Autobots’ decommissioned war ships at the dock yards. The Insecticons’ individual abilities, but particularly their shared ability to process organic materials into a source of refined fuel or other useful material, meant that they were valuable to the Autobots, who regarded them as their property and forced them to do work. However, Bombshell left Iacon soon after with his fellow Insecticons to join the new faction of former Destrons. The Insecticons’ first contribution as Decepticons occurred when, along with Shockwave, the three of them helped seal all underground escape passages in Kolkular by converting raw material into reinforced blocks. This effectively limited Liege Maximo’s ability to retake the fortress in future.

Description:

Along with Shrapnel and Bombshell, Kickback is an Insecticon. Whenever Kickback is around, it usually spells bad news – for the Autobots, that is. He is especially adept at using his natural charm and intelligence to convince any bot to tell him all their secrets; once they’ve realized they’ve been duped, however, it’s already too late – Kickback is already long gone, along with the enemy’s plans. Of course, he respects his fellow Decepticons and would never dream of tricking them; anyone else, though, is fair game.

Description:

Shrapnel is the leader of the Insecticons, which consists of Kickback, Bombshell and himself. He is a strong leader with an independent nature. When he is not with the other Decepticons on the front line, he prefers to work quietly in the background, accomplishing his task without ado and without the attention of the Autobots. His greatest satisfaction, however, is realized when he can utilize his unmatched mastery over electricity in full sight of the enemy against them, using his twin antennae to attract, control and even generate high voltage current.

Back Story:

Shrapnel and the Insecticons joined the Decepticons primarily to get away from the tyranny of Autobot rule in Iacon, where they were assigned the task of recycling the Autobots’ decommissioned war ships at the dock yards. The Insecticons’ individual abilities, but particularly their shared ability to process organic materials into a source of refined fuel or other useful material, meant that they were valuable to the Autobots, who regarded them as their property and forced them to do work. However, when the opportunity to leave Iacon and join the new faction of former Destrons came presented itself, Shrapnel took his chances. The Insecticons’ first contribution as Decepticons occurred when, along with Shockwave, the three of them helped seal all underground escape passages in Kolkular by converting raw material into reinforced blocks. This effectively limited Liege Maximo’s ability to retake the fortress in future. Shrapnel has an unusual speech pattern where he will repeat the last word in his speech.  This is a result of a failed attempt by the Autobots to forcibly reprogram him after he proved to be too rebellious for their liking. He allowed the Autobots to believe that they had succeeded in reprogramming him, although this was not the case.

Description:

Blast Off is a Combaticon, and combines with his fellow Combaticons to form Bruticus (right arm). Blast Off is a deep thinker as well as empath, though he does not outwardly demonstrate this easily. A complex character, he does enjoy quiet time pondering life’s great questions, though he is happiest when he can share his philosophical view points with others, particularly Onslaught, who shares similar interests. Blast Off possesses a powerful shuttle mode that makes him a formidable opponent in space.

Back Story:

Blast Off and the Combaticons first joined the Decepticons when they helped Starscream and his trine rescue Megatron from the cell block in Iacon’s Command Center, where they were also being held as prisoners. Blast Off’s early and pre-war experiences taught him that most mechs did not share his philosophy in life: to strive to live according to higher ideals. Many had proved themselves to be highly untrustworthy, and even manipulative – something which caused him to alienate himself from the populace at large. The only mechs he could completely trust were his fellow Combaticons. After joining the Decepticons, Blast Off discovered a larger circle of friends with whom he could share his deepest thoughts and feelings.

Description:

Brawl is a Combaticon, and combines with his fellow Combaticons to form Bruticus (left leg). Brawl’s penchant for jumping into the middle of a battle without hesitation, all guns blazing, has earned him a reputation for being loud, violent and quick-tempered. His preference for blowing things up, combined with his impressive strength and his resistance to most forms of artillery, makes him a highly effective and dangerous ground assault warrior. However, among friends he is as loyal and compassionate as he is tough, and surprisingly he can also be an excellent listener.

Back Story:

Brawl and the Combaticons first joined the Decepticons when they helped Starscream and his trine rescue Megatron from the cell block in Iacon’s Command Center, where they were also being held as prisoners. Brawl’s strong physical build and battle-ready instincts have helped his fellow Combaticons fight their way out of many precarious situations, though since joining the Decepticons he has put his talents to use fighting for higher ideals.

Description:

Vortex is a Combaticon, and combines with his fellow Combaticons to form Bruticus (left arm). Vortex is highly intelligent and skilled in the art of interrogation, with a knack for uncovering the true motivations and mental states of his subjects. A little eccentric, yet also high-spirited, Vortex enjoys finding out what makes others tick – a very useful skill when dealing with the enemy, as he’ll often use their own weaknesses against them, and will also employ various tactics to influence them into giving up any secret. Often times, the enemy isn’t even aware of what is going on until it is too late! By the same token, he can use his special talents to help his fellow Decepticons deal with their own doubts or insecurities by revealing to them the psychological basis for their problems and then offering them pertinent advice.

Back Story:

Vortex and the Combaticons first joined the Decepticons when they helped Starscream and his trine rescue Megatron from the cell block in Iacon’s Command Center, where they were also being held as prisoners. Vortex’s willingness to experience life on the wilder side has landed him and his team mates in trouble on a number of occasions – that is, until they joined the Decepticons, where he was finally able to channel his high energy and naturally inquisitive mind into more constructive pursuits, such as helping the Decepticon cause.

Swindle is a Combaticon, and also a combiner, so he has the ability to merge with his fellow Combaticons to form Bruticus (right leg). Swindle is a highly intelligent, highly skilled operative whose heightened ability to sense or perceive any form of deception is especially useful to his fellow Decepticons, though hated by the enemy because they find it almost impossible to pull a fast one on him, or on his companions whenever he’s around. He particularly excels when negotiating any sort of deal, or when aiding in an investigation.

Back Story:

Swindle and the Combaticons first joined the Decepticons when they helped Starscream and his trine rescue Megatron from the cell block in Iacon’s Command Center, where they were also being held as prisoners. Swindle has gone undercover for the Decepticons on numerous occasions in order to expose the enemy’s plans, and has even managed to use their plans against them.

Description:

Onslaught is a Combaticon, and also a combiner, so he has the ability to merge with his fellow Combaticons to form Bruticus (torso). Onslaught is a clever strategist, who prefers to devise and then carry out strategic and effective battle plans rather than be thrown into a fight gung-ho and unprepared. Even though he possesses both the brawn and the cerebral circuits to be quite intimidating, he also possesses loads of patience for those under his command, as well as his fellow Decepticons, who have complete trust in his decisions and abilities.

Back Story:

Onslaught and the Combaticons first joined the Decepticons when they helped Starscream and his trine rescue Megatron from the cell block in Iacon’s Command Center, where they were also being held as prisoners. Onslaught and his team quickly became valuable members of the rebel faction, and has often been called upon by Megatron to help them come up with suitable plans to avoid or counter enemy attacks.

Description:

Demolishor, also known as Bonecrusher, is a Constructicon, and also a combiner, so he has the ability to merge with his fellow Constructicons to form Devastator (left arm). Demolishor is the Decepticons’ quintessential tough guy – and what you see is pretty much what you get. However, many have been fooled into thinking that he is not as smart as the rest, or that he can be provoked into turning against his fellow Decepticons through the use of anger or revenge tactics, as many Autobots have discovered – to their detriment!

Back Story:

Demolishor and the Constructicons first joined the Decepticons when Megatron gathered together Destrons who had been ousted from Iacon by the Autobots, in rebellion against the way they were being treated. Since then, Demolishor has played a vital role in helping to defend the Decepticons from direct attack just as much as he has contributed to offensive manoeuvres on the front lines, suitably transferring his skills in demolitions directly to the battlefield.
